Dear Ebi & Aliza,

You both are some of the most thoughtful people we have met. It definitely takes two special souls to use their wedding functions to raise money for an NGO. So heartfelt and so genuine! It does make sense to us though, considering you both met when Aliza was adopting Loki, the cat.

Thank you for sharing your life and stories with us. Our favourite one being of your first date, which was watching an India-Pakistan cricket match live, flanked by Aliza’s mother and Ebi’s younger brother! Such a South Asian thing to do!!

Even though some of us were meeting for the first time, we felt an instant connection with both of you, your friends and family.

We have to say we were pleasantly surprised with how much Bollywood we heard at your Sangeet haha Of course, the funniest realisation was that Omar, who doesn’t understand or speak a word of Hindi or Urdu, knew the lyrics of the songs better than us!!

From a fun-filled dholki at home to an absolute banger of a sangeet at the Dubai Polo Club and on to a graceful valima at the base of the iconic Burj Khalifa, your wedding was one for the books!

While we will forever be disappointed that Loki didn’t make a special appearance at any of the functions, going dune-bashing and lighting a bonfire in the middle of the desert with you and your friends (special shout-out to Omar and Sufiyan for all their help and support in the middle of the desert!) more than made up for it :D Exploring abandoned buildings in the middle of the desert was a surreal experience, and fortunately no ghosts were spotted in the supposed haunted village 😅

Ebi & Aliza, thank you so much for planning ahead to have portrait sessions at all events, taking time on the free days to galavant across town (it was very special for us to be able to recreate your proposal photos for you!), getting lost in the desert (well, almost haha), giving us some fantastic recommendations for sightseeing in Dubai (Aya was so much fun; they literally had to kick us out at closing time), sharing your lives with us and, of course, for having us over. ❤️

Noor Bhai, Shazia Bhabhi for being such gracious hosts and feeding us every chance you got! Still not over the fact that there’s a famous Bombay Bakery in Hyderabad there, and a famous Karachi Bakery in Hyderabad here!

Usmaan & Hassan, you are absolute naturals in front of the camera and gave us the best one-liners! Usmaan, we know scuba diving didn’t work out, but thank you for the great conversation on the drive to Abu Dhabi. It was an absolute delight exploring every nook and cranny of the Abu Dhabi Louvre with you. Our favourite exhibits were the The Missing Cashier and The Disappearing Queue hahaha
