Vaishali is like flowing energy, while Anujan is as solid as an unbreakable wall. Two people who appeared to be polar opposites on the surface. And yet, they were the same on the inside. The same kind heart, gentle soul and high thinking. This is a beautiful North meets South, East meets West story. Vaishali is our Dilli ki Ladki while Anujan is our boy from Chennai. Both living in the US for many years.
We had an absolutely incredible time at the shoot. It was more friends-hanging-out than an assignment – a testament to how wonderful these two humans are. Anujan had mentioned his sole desire before the shoot, “I’ll do whatever Vaishali says, my only request is a cup of amazing filter-coffee.” We noted that down in our must-do list.

As soon as Vaishali said we want a shoot where we can be ourselves, the very first thought that came to our mind was Chandni Chowk! It’s a place where you have to be yourself, even if you try otherwise. We meandered through the beautiful, old streets – paranthe wali gali to darwaaze wali gali; Gurudwara Sis Ganj sahib ji to Masjid-i-Jahan-Numa (popularly known as Jama Masjid).

Now it was time to take a break! And deliver on Anujan’s request.
After Chandni Chowk, we went to Connaught Place, and had some hot, fresh, filter coffee (and a scrumptious south-Indian meal)! We love what we do – best job in the world!

After taking a short break and recharging, it was on to the next step – the iconic Lodhi Garden!
Perfect weather. Cool breeze. Slightly overcast day so we didn’t have lovely golden light. But the heavy cloud cover meant we had a natural light diffuser.
Always remember, good photographers look for the golden hour, great photographers use whatever they are given and create magic ;) We took some lovely images and also relished some Mughal architecture. We are so fortunate to have such rich history filled with variety. No wonder we are the melting pot of the world.

It was a perfect little Dilli-darshan for all of us before Vaishali and Anujan’s Delhi wedding.
We can’t stop obsessing over how lucky we are to do what we love. And make such wonderful friends along the way.
